Sydney cameraman Doug Sleeman faces possible dismissal for pulling his camera from a tripod and putting it on the ground during a live report during last night’s Sydney news bulletin.

ABC staff, including radio and television journalists and technicians, are involved in an ongoing national dispute over pay and conditions.

Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU) organiser Graeme Thomson said Mr Sleeman’s action was part of protected industrial action when he removed the camera from its tripod.
