Hutton to Appear Before Commons Committee

By Jamie Lyons, Political Correspondent, PA News

Lord Hutton was today expected to publicly defend his controversial report into the death of Government weapons expert Dr David Kelly.

The retired law lord was said to be deeply unhappy at the reaction to his report which was seen by many as a whitewash.

Today he will have the chance to speak out with an appearance before an influential committee of MPs.

Lord Hutton was giving evidence to the House of Commons? public administration committee which is looking into Government inquiries.

I, too, was riveted by Hutton’s speech. There are others who do not enunciate quite so well, good to be able to understand what the chap was saying!
