I dunno if any of you guys picked up on this, but it was reported in the Guardian a few days ago:
Of all the channel I least expected to get coverage in Israel, it would have been Al-Jazeera, so I’m quite surprised by this. But nevertheless it’s good to see AJI getting off to a good start.
I’m surprised that they can’t carry both. But AJE is strong and focused on ME news, so it’s not surprising that they want to watch it.

Mmm, it’ll be interesting to see how the BBC respond, or how AJI might affect other broadcasters elsewhere.
