Mark Austin replaces Trevor McDonald

Mark Austin will take over from Trevor McDonald to present the ITV News at 10.30pm from the end of the year.

Mark will continue to co-present the ITV Evening News at 6.30pm with Mary Nightingale.

The Head of ITV News, David Mannion said:
“Mark’s background and experience provide him with exceptional credibility and authority. Trevor is of course unique but I am delighted someone of Mark’s calibre is stepping in and am completely confident that he will emerge as Britain’s most popular and authoritative news anchor.”
