So week 1 voting is over and the results are in.

42% want to evict from the Sky News Centre – Emma Crosby.

Week 2 voting is now open. Following feedback I’ve added Juliette Foster; she obviously has fans.

To speed things along a little, this time you are voting to evict 2 presenters. So use your vote carefully.

Allan king, the only man I’ve ever seen able to cover 2 mins of picture with no acue or help from a producer or a flash from the wires.

Can hit every count perfectly and never jumps his cues like some.

    Class act.

Nothing wrong with Allan whatsoever. Experienced journalist and seems to be a sweetheart with it.

But who to vote for? Ho-hum…difficult. Can you actually vote twice? I thought these polls only allowed you to vote once.

Why is Morticia Adams, sorry, Mai Davies not on the list?

I would evict her because she scares me.

Steven is only including the well known newscasters.

I really think that Paula Middlehurst,David Foster,Karin Giannone and Martin Popplewell should be in his list—but he feels they would get voted out too quickly.

If you guys think this poll would be fairer with all or any of the above then write them below and maybe in another round Steven may change his mind.

Steven is only including the well known newscasters.

I really think that Paula Middlehurst,David Foster,Karin Giannone and Martin Popplewell should be in his list—but he feels they would get voted out too quickly.

With the current number of presenters included in the poll it would have taken about 3 months to get to a winner if evicting 1 presenter per week. This is the reason why I’ve said that 2 people will be evicted this week.

If there were more presenters this would slow it down even further.

There just aren’t enough members of this forum, that are actively taking part, to sustain such a large vote. In round 1, 6 presenters didn’t receive a single vote. With more presenters it will just becomes too cumbersome.

The reason why the 4 presenters that Newsroom mentioned aren’t included are as follows:

Karin Giannone, Martin Popplewell – They aren’t making enough appearances. They can not be classed as regulars. Martin is doing reporting more than presenting at the moment.

Paula Middlehurst – she doesn’t actually appear as often as you think. She only covers the evening shift when Viv, Sheila, Emma or Juliette aren’t available.

David Foster – similar to Paula, and it is pretty likely he wouldn’t get any where near the final stages (that was a ‘production’ decision)

Juliette Foster was added this week simply because I read another thread and she has more fans than I originally thought. I am open to suggestions on this poll. Should anybody feel that I need to change any part of it then please PM – lets try and keep this thread dedicated to the actual voting!

It has just occurred to me that we may have a 3 way tie or a tie for the second evictee. So if anybody’s got any ideas of how we’ll handle that situation then please let me know. I suppose the best way is to evict 3, or more if necessary, if it comes to it.

    Good… bye… to you… Kay.

Sorry Kay fans, but she drives me crazy: (a) starting every single link “hello… to you… Martin” (or whoever), (B) asking interviewees utterly incomprehensible and unintelligible questions, © constantly referring to children as “little boy” or “little girl”, (d) thinking you call academics with PhDs “doctor”, as if they’re going to give her a prescription, (e) holding her head on a very coy angle. She’s had her day. She has to go. No Kay, OK?

It would only let me vote once (it’s all right, it was to get rid of Kay, so that’s all that really matters) and wouldn’t take my second click (which was going to be a tougher decision…)

Yes everybody gets one vote each…..it is the last two that will get kicked out(or last three if their is a three-way tie)
