Channel News Election

Kylie Morris is to be the new face of More4 News.

Morris, who joined Channel 4 News last year as its Asia Correspondent will replace Sarah Smith who was recently appointed as Washington Correspondent.

Morris joined Channel 4 from the BBC where she spent six years as a foreign correspondent. She was South East Asia correspondent when she left the BBC having previously been the corporation’s Kabul correspondent.

Peter Dale, head of More4, said: “I have no doubt that her vast experience in reporting on international affairs and her analytical skills will prove invaluable in the future of More4 News.”

Morris said: “More4 News is many things, but at heart it’s a programme with a burning interest in the world, and telling original stories to its audience. It’s an important programme that in its very short lifetime has already had a lot of impact. “
