Fox News and Tucker Carlson have “agreed to part ways”, the news channel has said.
The announcement comes just days after Fox News settled a defamation lawsuit from the voting machine company Dominion over Fox’s coverage of the 2020 presidential election.
Fox News said that Carlson’s last show was Friday 21st April.
Tucker joined Fox News in May 2009 as a contributor.
He was a frequent guest panelist on Fox’s late-night satire show Red Eye w/Greg Gutfeld and made frequent appearances on the All-Star Panel segment of Special Report with Bret Baier.
On November 14, 2016, Carlson began hosting Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News. The premiere episode of the show, which replaced On the Record, was the network’s most watched telecast of the year in the time slot, with 3.7 million viewers.
