It was Middle Eastern politics actually – had a certain amount of knowledge about the issue at the time

On commercial radio: Star FM in Slough, Mix 96 Aylesbury, Fox FM Oxford, BBC Thames Valley FM

What is your Best on-air moment?
mmm tricky – Interview with Tony Blair about his then foe Ken Livingstone

What is your Worst on-air moment?
Jumping up and down in front of the live camera on BBC London whilst covering the protests outside Hackney council

What would you like to do before your career ends?
Be a foreign correspondent either in Jerusalem or Berlin

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Don’t have much but anything that isn’t work, or running after children

What advice would you give to anyone that would like to get into the broadcasting world?
Start early
