FA Trophy Final 2013

Grimsby Town take on Wrexham this afternoon in the FA Carlsberg Trophy Final live at Wembley Stadium.

Securing promotion from the Blue Square Premier League this season is probably high on the agenda for both Grimsby Town and Wrexham, but they were able to forget their quest for league points this afternoon as the FA Trophy Final and a trip to Wembley took centre stage.

Wrexham got the better of Gainsborough Trinity over two tense semi-final legs to reach the final for the first time in their history, and Andy Morrell will be thrilled should the Dragons secure the first part of the ‘dream double’ during his second season in charge at the Racecourse.

But Grimsby, having comfortably beaten Dartford to reach the final, will be equally determined to lift the Trophy, and to establish a psychological advantage for the remainder of the season and the tense promotion run in.

The match will be broadcast live on S4C from 2.45pm, kick-off 3pm.

The channel is available in the UK and Ireland on Sky channel 134, Freesat channel 120 and Virgin channel 167
