Six Nations 2013 - Ireland

The 2014 RBS Six Nations continue today as the second round of fixtures get underway. Two games will take place today – Ireland v Wales and Scotland v England – while a third – France v Italy – is staged tomorrow.

Today’s opening contest between Ireland v Wales takes place at the Aviva Stadium, where the sides look to build on their opening weekend victories over Scotland and Italy respectively.

Much of the focus ahead of this encounter has been on the expected hostile reception for Wales coach Warren Gatland after he dropped Irish hero Brian O’Driscoll for the third Test of last summer’s Lions’ tour of Australia, but matters on the pitch between these two sides are usually thrilling enough to relegate such matters to the sidelines.

TV coverage begins at 2pm on BBC One HD, where Ross Harries is joined in the studio by Keith Wood and Jonathan Davies.
