The BBC will broadcast a special live edition of The Daily Politics this afternoon as MPs return from their holidays to the House of Commons to pay tribute to Britain’s only female Prime Minster, Margaret Thatcher.

Baroness Thatcher died on Monday morning at the age of 87 following a stroke.

Andrew Neil will be joined in the studio by Ken Livingstone, former leader of the Greater London Council, and former health minister Edwina Currie.

Featuring live coverage of the parliamentary debate as well as studio discussion and analysis, the programme begins at 2.10pm on BBC Two.

BBC News, BBC Parliament and Sky News will also broadcast the debate.
