The BBC will broadcast the third-place play-off in Women’s World Cup 2019 this afternoon.

The match, between England and Sweden, takes place at the Stade de Nice in France.

England are aiming to bounce back from the disappointment of narrowly losing 2-1 to USA in the semi-finals and win this match for the second successive World Cup, having defeated Germany 1-0 in this fixture in 2015.

Their opponents were beaten 1-0 by the Netherlands in extra time on Wednesday and defeated France in this contest eight years ago.

Coverage starts at 3.45pm on BBC One and BBC One HD with live streaming via the BBC iPlayer.

Kick-off 4.00pm
