Day 4 of the 2016 UEFA European Championships takes place today with a further three matches, one from Group D and two from Group E.
The action gets underway at 1.30pm on ITV, where Spain take on the Czech Republic. This Group D game comes from the Stadium Municipal in Toulouse, where Spain are the two-time defending champions.
Coverage then switches to the BBC, where Gary Lineker presents the Group E clash between the Republic of Ireland and Sweden, which takes place at the Stade de France in Paris.
With stern tests to come against Italy and Belgium, both sides will have targeted this fixture as an excellent opportunity to get three points on the board and greatly enhance their chances of reaching the last 16.
The nations last met in the qualifying campaign for the 2014 World Cup, when they drew 0-0 in Stockholm, before Sweden claimed a 2-1 victory in Dublin.
Unusually, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was not among the goals on that occasion, but he was in fine form in the recent qualifying campaign. The charismatic striker scored eight goals in Group G, before netting another three in the two-legged play-off against Denmark to secure his team’s place in France.
Ireland also had to come through a play-off to qualify, overcoming Bosnia & Herzegovina after finding a hero of their own in Jonathan Walters, who struck twice in a 2-0 win at the Aviva Stadium following a 1-1 draw in Zenica.
Following a news break at 7.05pm, Gary returns to BBC One with coverage of Belgium v Italy at the Stade de Lyon. Analysis comes from Gianluca Vialli and Thierry Henry, while Steve Wilson and Martin Keown provide match commentary. Kick-off 8.00pm.
