Euro 2016, Day 2 – England v Russia – Live TV Coverage ITV, Live Streaming on ITV Hub

Day two of Euro 2016 takes place today with live TV coverage on the BBC and ITV.

The BBC will broadcast the Group A clash between Albania and Switzerland (1.20pm/BBC One) and Wales v Slovakia from Group B (4pm/BBC One) before England face Russia on ITV (7pm/ITV).

This opening Group B game of the tournament for both sides takes place at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille.

Roy Hodgson’s England come into this competition on the back of a perfect qualification campaign.

The Three Lions won all 10 of their games to progress to the finals with relative ease, and captain Wayne Rooney broke the goalscoring record for his country along the way when he scored a penalty against Switzerland at Wembley to surpass Bobby Charlton’s record of 49, which had stood for more than 45 years.

By contrast, Russia squeezed through as runners-up in Group G, finishing eight points behind the impressive Austrians.

Former England boss Fabio Capello was sacked as manager midway through their campaign after a slow start – replacement Leonid Slutsky won all four of his games in charge to lead the Russians to their fifth European Championship finals since the break-up of the Soviet Union.

Mark Pougatch will be joined in the studio Lee Dixon, Ian Wright and Peter Crouch. Match commentary comes from Clive Tyldesley and Glenn Hoddle.

The match will also be streamed live on the ITV Hub. Kick-off 8pm

Dan Walker will front the clash between Albania and Switzerland in the company of Danny Murphy and Thierry Henry. Simon Brotherton and Kevin Kilbane will provide match commentary. Kick-off 2.00pm

Gary Lineker will be joined in the studio by Dean Saunders, Rio Ferdinand and Alan Shearer for the Group B clash between Wales and Slovakia. Commentary comes from Steve Wilson and Robbie Savage, while Jason Mohammad and John Hartson provide additional pitchside presentation. Kick-off 5.00pm.
