Biography: Eilidh Barbour is a sport presenter for BBC Sport and Sky Sports.
She began presenting the sports news on BBC News Channel in September 2014.
Originally from Dunkeld in Perthshire, Eilidh has a degree in Film and Media Studies from the University of Stirling with ambitions of becoming a sports broadcaster at the forefront.
During her time at university, Eilidh was lucky enough to get a taste of it with BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Five Live, covering events incuding The British Open and rugby’s Autumn Internationals.
Eilidh has covered live sport for various outlets including BBC Scotland, ESPN, Channel 5, BBC Sport, BBC Five Live and Sky Sports as well as presenting sports news for STV News at Six.
It was announced on March 29, 2017 that Eilidh is to become the BBC’s Golf coverage presenter, replacing Hazel Irvine.
