Manchester City travel to Germany to face Schalke in the first leg of their Champions League 2018/19 Round of 16 tie this evening.

The German club reached the semi-finals in 2010/11, but have not been past the round of 16 in three attempts since.

Schalke qualified for this season’s knockout stages by finishing second to Porto in Group D.

The winners of Group F in the autumn, Manchester City are in the knockout stages for the sixth year in a row, and have won two of their last three round of 16 ties.

In 2017/18 they went on to the quarter-finals, where they lost to fellow English side Liverpool.

The match will be shown live on BT Sport 2 from 7.00pm with live streaming on BTSport.com and via the BT Sport App.

Kick-off 8.00pm.

BT Sport will also air the Champions League clash between Atletico Madrid and Juventus from 7.30pm on BT Sport 3 this evening.
