Major Garrett named new chief White House correspondent for CBS

Major Garrett, congressional correspondent for the National Journal, has been named the new chief White House correspondent for CBS.

Garrett replaces Norah O’Donnell, who held the position since June 2011, before becoming a co-anchor on CBS This Morning, replacing Erica Hill.
