The coronation of Charles III and his wife, Camilla, as king and queen of the United Kingdom will take place on Saturday 6th May 2023.

BBC

From 7.30am on BBC One, Kirsty Young will be live from Buckingham Palace while JJ Chalmers speaks to members of the military as they prepare for one of the largest parades in living history.

Huw Edwards will provide commentary as the doors of Westminster Abbey open and Sophie Raworth will be outside speaking to guests as they arrive.

Clare Balding will provide commentary for the ceremonial route, and Anita Rani will join the gathered crowds.

British Sign Language will be available on BBC Two.

ITV

The morning of 6th May will start with a special edition of Good Morning Britain, where Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard will be live from Westminster Abbey.

Ranvir Singh will be outside the Abbey speaking to guests as they arrive, while Kate Garraway will be live from Buckingham Palace.

Charlotte Hawkins will be with the Armed Forces and Laura Tobin will be live from the Long Walk in Windsor.

Then from 8.30am, Julie Etchingham and Tom Bradby will front ITV’s coverage through a day of pageantry and celebration.

Commentary comes from Mary Nightingale outside Westminster Abbey and James Mates, who during the service will explain the ancient traditions and rituals shown on screen.

Nina Hossain will be with the gathering crowds at the Mall and Charlene White will report from RAF Waddington where the Red Arrow performers will be preparing for their flypast.

British Sign Language will be available on ITV3.

Sky News

Over on Sky News, Kay Burley and Anna Botting will lead coverage throughout the day following the procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey ahead of the service.

Kay will be outside Westminster Abbey from 7.00am speaking to some of the dignitaries and celebrities who will be going to the Coronation. She will be joined by renowned educationalist and historian Sir Anthony Seldon for the Breakfast Show.

Anna will be live from Buckingham Palace at 9.00am with Patrick Harrison, former press secretary of 11 years to King Charles III and Sky News royal event commentator Alastair Bruce who will go on to commentate on the ceremonial service from 11am.

Cameras will then follow the procession back to Buckingham Palace where Dame Joanna Lumley will join the team for the famous balcony shots and flypast.

Sky News royal correspondent Laura Bundock will bring insight and analysis, while Sarah-Jane Mee and Kamali Melbourne will be amongst the action reporting live from the crowds on The Mall and other key locations around London.

GB News

GB News’ coverage will get underway with the national anthem “God Save the King” just before 6.00am.

Stephen Dixon and Ellie Costello will be live from Buckingham Palace at 6.00am with a special edition of Breakfast.

From 10.00am, the recently retired Alastair Stewart and Nigel Farage will be joined by historian David Starkey.

GB News’ afternoon schedule will then play out during the evening with Neil Oliver Live at 6.00pm, Calvin Robinson’s Common Sense Crusade at 7.00pm, followed by The Saturday Five at 8.00pm, and Mark Dolan tonight at 9.00pm.

TalkTV

TalkTV’s coverage starts at 7.00am with Coronation Breakfast with David Bull and Rosanna Lockwood.

Vanessa Feltz and Sharon Osbourne take over at 10.00am with The Coronation Watch a Long.

CNN

Anderson Cooper will lead CNN’s special live coverage of the Coronation in the company of Christiane Amanpour and Max Foster from 10.00am (5.00am ET).

CNN anchors Richard Quest and Julia Chatterley will contribute to CNN’s coverage from the network’s London studio alongside CNN Royal Historian Kate Williams, CNN Royal Commentators Emily Nash, Sally Bedell Smith and CNN Contributor Trisha Goddard.

CNN reporters will be positioned along the coronation procession route including Bianca Nobilo outside Westminster Abbey, Salma Abdelaziz and Matthew Chance, who will report live from the crowds gathered along the Mall, and Anna Stewart.

Fox News

Martha MacCallum, Ainsley Earhardt and Piers Morgan will front Fox News’ coverage from 10.00am (5.00am ET)

Senior foreign affairs correspondent Greg Palkot, London-based correspondent Alex Hogan, State Department correspondent Benjamin Hall and chief political analyst Brit Hume will contribute to the coverage live from Westminster Abbey.
