Did Mick Carter kill Lucy Beale? EastEnders live specials all this week

HomeEntertainmentDid Mick Carter kill Lucy Beale? EastEnders live specials all this week

EastEnders will broadcast a special week of live episodes this week as the identity of Lucy Beale’s killer is revealed.

But, could it be Mick Carter? He now finds himself as the new second favourite with Ladbrokes to have killed Lucy Beale.

In the biggest whodunit of all time an eleventh hour gamble is developing on Mick to swap The Vic for HMP Belmarsh, as punters have backed his odds into just 5/1 from a huge 66/1 in the last week alone.

Jane Beale remains the favourite at 7/2, but should the support for the landlord continue it won’t be long before they are chalked up with the same odds.

Former front runner Abi Branning is left to drift out to 7/1, while youngster Bobby Beale seriously enters the frame as just a 6/1 shot.

Walford’s latest whodunit has gripped the nation for nearly a year, and the bookies have been forced to cut the odds into 20/1 from 100/1 that Thursday night’s episode tops 30.5m viewers, surpassing the record Den and Angie set back in 1986 on Christmas Day.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Slowly but surely punters have caused Mick’s odds to collapse, and it looks like he’ll soon be heading off for a stretch in the slammer.”
