Sky, ESPN announce live Premier League games for March

Sky Sports and ESPN have confirmed their next set of Premier League fixtures to be broadcast live throughout March 2012.

The first will be Liverpool v Arsenal live on Sky Sports on Saturday March 3, a contest between two sides desperately trying to finish the year in the top four.

On Sunday 4th March, ESPN will bring fans the Tyne-Wear derby as Sunderland – rejuvenated under new manager Martin O’Neill – travel to take on one of the season’s surprise stories Newcastle United, who are chasing a European place.

Saturday 24th March will see Manchester City, who top the table despite stuttering of late, face one of the league’s most intimidating atmospheres as they play Stoke City at the Brittania Stadium live on ESPN

And Monday Night Football is in for a treat with four fixtures in store. They include Arsenal v Newcastle, Manchester City v Chelsea, Manchester United v Fulham and Blackburn v Manchester United.

Jeroen Oerlemans, Vice President TV Channels, ESPN, Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: “We’re delighted to add another great set of Barclays Premier League fixtures to our football line-up in the coming weeks of the FA Cup, Clydesdale Bank Premier League and UEFA Europa League. Each of our new matches are crucial affairs, with one a fierce local derby and the others involving teams fighting for European places and the title. March on ESPN will be a great month for football fans.”
