Why, oh why do news channels blab the results on the Monday morning/afternoon when it’s on the TV tonight? If we wanted to see who has won early, we would look it up ourselves – that’s now 2 results that I’ve seen and, granted I don’t know what the award was, just who got it, I still didn’t want to know!

What is it with news channels and award ceremonies? Why tell us when we’re gonna watch it that night?!

Probably because as the event takes place on Sunday evening, the item is then “news” on the Monday! They don’t know what you are going to watch do they? News channels show news by definition. If they waited a day until you’d watched it on the TV, then it would be old news and nobody would be interested.

Maybe they shouldn’t show the footie results until we’ve all watched Match of the Day either?
