Was just watching Sky News and I saw this big black rectangle appearing in the background behind the presenters, and it was being pushed along by a man, and he span it around… it’s a big plasma screen TV.

And when they came back from the next report (about MP3 downloads and iPods) the man was trailing a cable out to the left away from the screen… Any ideas what it’s there for? I assume it’s so the staff can keep an eye on something… maybe the elections on Thursday, or Euro 2004?

Not only will you notice that it’s there, but it also obscures the bottom part of the news wall – surely that can’t stay there.

I have just seen this on Live at 5. I wonder if it has anything to do with Vote 2004?

Well it was being used on Sky News Today – for the 10.30 ‘debate’ slot – and was actually behind the desk.
