Chris Roberts is a former Sky News presenter.

Prior to moving into the Sky News studio, Chris was a reporter for Sky News covering a range of stories across the globe, including the aftermath of the September 11th terrorist attacks, conflicts in Kosovo and the Middle East, the eviction of white farmers in Zimbabwe and the countdown to the war in Iraq. As a Sky News presenter, Chris was on air the night the Iraq war began and during the flash flooding in Boscastle, North Cornwall.

Before joining Sky News in 1998 Chris was a field producer and then a reporter with ITN covering events in Afghanistan, Bosnia, Cambodia, India, Iraq, Pakistan, the United States, Zaire, Zimbabwe and across the Far East where he lived for four years.

Chris studied Political Science at Exeter University, followed by a postgraduate diploma in journalism at Cardiff University.

He started his career as a BBC and Independent local radio reporter during which time he got his first break into covering major stories when he reported on the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Chris is based in Teddington in Middlesex with his wife Georgie and their labrador Tess. He never forgets his Welsh heritage, particularly when it comes to rugby. He doesn’t play any more as black eyes look very suspicious while reading the news. He is still a keen tennis, squash and golf player and also enjoys walking and fishing for trout and salmon.
