Bush to comment within an hour. This was hardly unexpected… did anyone see him looking totally, completely and utterly fed up at the Bush Blair press conf?

Announcement for his successor due very shortly too. (Condi Rice, my bet)

Official announcement has come through from State Dept.

Energy Sec resigns too, Elliot Abrams.

Well, we all knew he was going to go, but I’d say it was Bush that put the pressure on him to resign, maybe thats why he looked annoyed.

I do not think that ‘Condi’ Rice will take over.

Yup, fair enough – but go on, call a name Mr Byrne, who’ll get it? God help us if it’s Wolfie. ..or Condi for that matter.

BREAKING: Four Bush Cabinet members to resign.

Well I can’t say to be honest. The Americans are strange people.

I will add a name to the hat though! – a name you may not like Kevin – Donald Rumsfeld!

There were some rumours that he was going to be removed from Defence, and he does have a lot of experience with diplomacy – e.g. -he was Baghdad in the eighties to meet Saddam.

Donald Rumsfeld is just abou the only person that I absolutely deteste in the Bush administration. Others, they do one or two things that I agree with but Rumsfeld in my opinion is one of the biggest hypocrits and political wasters of both the 20th and 21st century, however, I wouldn’t rule him out from becoming the new Sec. of State.

Hehe! I can see where you’re coming from with Rumsfeld getting it.. although I think he’s too old. ..I remember Ian Woods saying he looks really old and frail in person.. might as well have four years of selling weapons in the private sector, for pension.

He’ll be one of the resignations too, in my opinon. I’ll stick with Rice for State, just as she seems to be in favour & ‘will do a job if the President asks’..

I do think Jerry Bremer will get in somewhere, Bush promised him a post if he could pull off the Iraq governer thing.

Well, it does appear that Rice is going to get Secretary of state. Bush can rely heavier on her and I think she’s a good debater but still – full steam ahead for a more agressive foreign policy.

Yep.. it’s seems so, ABCNews had the exclusive first last nite I think..

Another hint/rumour on Condi is that after Rummie’s retired.. (thats if my prediction above is incorrect.) ..in 2 years time, Rice will take over at Defense.

It’s a bit of comprimise as she didn’t really want another job.. You hardly get any uninterrupted nights sleep as the Prez’ NSA. She’d prefer to leave, or take over DoD.. Bush would rather she had State.. so, State for 2 years, DoD for 2.

So, Rumsfeld – I agree with Byrne, he’s a liability, a terrible liar whose body language gives away all you need to know.. he also has a lot to lie about.

..it might be that he’ll be given the chance to restore his reputation (wha?) and ‘sort out iraq’ and two more years.. or he’ll be kicked out v soon.. depends on who wants the other jobs. Bremer at DoD? ..there’a chance a democrat will be picked for something in the cabinet.. look out for Jay Rockefeller.

    ta for now.
