Wayne Rooney will be a part of the BBC’s coverage for the FA Cup fifth round tie between Nottingham Forest and Manchester United.
The match will take place on Wednesday 28th February 2024 at the City Ground and will be shown live on BBC One from 7.30pm.
“Watching the BBC’s coverage of the FA Cup every year was always very special growing up, I’m so excited to be joining up with the team to cover what will undoubtedly be an action-packed tie in this historic competition,” Wayne said.
“Having played and managed in the competition, it’s great be on the other side of the camera this time and hopefully I can bring some of that FA Cup experience to the coverage.”
Forest beat United in the League 2-1 in December 2023 ending a run of 11 straight defeats for Nottingham Forest against the Red Devils, which included two Premier League encounters and the two-legged EFL Cup semi-final in 2023.
The match kicks-off at 7.45pm.
