Did anyone watch Sir Alex Ferguson’s post match interview after Chelsea/Man Utd match conducted by stuttering Ian Bolton?

Bolton begins by asking about Rooney, and Fergie’s like he’s going to be out for a while. And Bolton’s like, is he going to miss Boro game on Monday? And its like “Duh, Fergie pretty much said he’s going to miss the season!”

    Anybody else catch this interview?

Bolton’s a bad reporter IMO. Its at press conferences, he seems to stutter what he’s saying and I think he should stick to SSN, presenting.

i kind of agree – he never seems to be confident doing lives either. It’s not just him though, yesterday, after hearing Sam Allardyce go on about how much he wanted the England job, Geoff Shreeves’s next question was “Are you still as keen as ever for the England job.” I couldn’t believe what i was hearing.

Yeah I must admit it was rather cringeworthy watching Ian Bolton with Sir Alex on Saturday. After the first knockback from Fergie, Ian got quite flusterred and really didn’t know how to carry on. But Ian Bolton rarely does live match interviews for Sky Sports 1, he was only drafted in for that match as they knew Geoff Shreeves would have been on the pitch for Chelsea’s celebrations and they needed someone to interview Sir Alex.

I think Sky have got a lot of great reporters though, Guy Havord being the most prominent. He has sprung up from Prem Plus #2 last season to being Sky Sports #2 & Prem Plus #1 this season, as well as big Football League matches. Not bad for a former studio based commentator on La Liga.

Yeah I felt sorry for the guy. Havord is definitely better.

Sky has plenty of good reporters who do a better job than Bolton
