Ten News has appointed Narelda Jacobs as a presenter for the network’s Perth bulletin. The WA Academy of Performing Arts graduate began her career at Golden West News in Bunbury, before joining Ten’s Perth newsroom in early 2000.

“Narelda is very much part of the fabric of Ten News in Perth,” said Ten Perth news director Chris Hunt, “and has made a major contribution as a senior reporter. We are looking forward to her joining Tim Gossage and Michael Schultz on air later in the year.”

Jacobs will begin presenting the bulletin later this year, when Ten’s Perth bulletin moves back to the city after almost eight years. Ten News Perth was relocated to Network Ten’s Sydney studios in 2000, cited at the time as being due to the cost of upgrading to digital transmission. Local sport and weather continued to be presented from Ten Perth’s studios.

There have been no anouncements regarding Ten’s Adelaide bulletin, currently presented out of Melbourne.
