From the start of July SBS will begin airing daily finance updates at 12.55pm, 5.55pm, and 10pm, in addition to existing segments in the 6.30pm and 9.30pm bulletins of World News Australia.

The updates will be produced and presented from the Sydney studios of business news network CNBC. SBS will, however, retain editorial control of content and presentation.

PBSNightly Business Report, currently shown on the network’s main channel, will move to the digital-only World News Channel, where it will be shown at 2.30pm Tuesday-Saturday.

SBS’ Director of News and Current Affairs said “This change will eliminate interruptions to the service by irregular sporting and other commitments and, at the same time, will allow for the re-introduction of the weekend edition of the Nightly Business Report on Saturdays,”

“Overall, these changes mean that SBS will provide its viewers with a more comprehensive business outlook, utilizing our own resources and that of respected global business news providers.”
