The Australian reports that SBS’ head of News and Current Affairs, Paul Cutler, is looking to recruit new presenters for the network, which recently lost two presenters – veteran Mary Kostakidis, who left the network after a dispute with management, and Stan Grant, her co-anchor following World News Australia‘s 2007 relaunch.

At present, Anton Enus is attached to SBS’ 6.30pm bulletin, with the remaining jobs shared between Janice Peterson, Amrita Cheema, and Lee Lin Chin.

According to the paper, Cutler is looking for a second presenter to permanently present the 6.30pm newshour, as well as another for the 9.30pm bulletin previously presented by Enus.

One name said to be under consideration was Deutsche Welle presenter Shane Fankhauser, a past SBS employee.
