Have Sky changed their policy on wearing glasses? It’s something which by and large, apparently, must never seen to be done… you occasionally catch glimpses of Martin or David Foster hurriedly taking them off when they realised they’re on camera. But I noticed Juliette Foster wearing glasses yesterday and Steve Dixon this morning… Maybe they’ve both had problems with their contacts, or is there a new policy?

I doubt there’s a policy on glasses. They probably either wear contacts or only need them when preparing questions, or when presenting at the News wall, where the autocue is further away than usual. The text on the auto cue is pretty large.

Juliette wears giggs now and again.

But talking of specs – remember Sir Trev with the NHS ones in the eighties and early nineties – well dodgey. Thankfully we have moved away from these days.

As a speccy four eyes – myself – I would hope there is no glasses policy at all at SKY they don’t mean someone is less attractive or authoritive on air.
