I feel sorry for poor Ginny. She must be shocked and angry, they could at least let her work until the end of the month.

But what difference would that make? If she was aware that she being made redundant, I would imagine that she would want to leave as soon as possible, not wait til the end of the month.

I know, but it wouldn’t be so sudden. Well I hope she finds an even better job and wish her all the best,as well as Juliette.

Maybe it’s back to Men & Motors then? I’m gutted too that she’s going. It proves that SkyNews dont employ just on looks though?

I very much doubt she was sacked on the spot.. She was probably told about the decision made by Sky, and decided that she’ll go now..

Written in today’s Sky Report email:

    Farewell to the Sky Report
Onefinal thought tonight… as some of you may have heard there are to be some changes to the programme schedules at Sky News. That means the Sky Report won’t be around for too much longer. From July the 10th, I’ll be on from 6pm to 8pm with Jeremy Thompson. It’s been great to work on such a different show, one that Sky News has never before produced. The hand-picked producers are all a joy to work with and will go on to other things within Sky News. Do hope you’ve enjoyed watching over the last 9 months or so, it’s been our pleasure.

    See you at 7.

    Best Wishes
    Anna Botting

Where do you get your ideas from Johnnie?

Of course she was sacked on the spot, as were all the staff members. They came into the bulding, found they could not log in and were taken to a meeting and then escorted off the premises.

You appear to live in a dream world!

Have Sky actually reported any of these changes on air, BTW?

Yes that’s how I saw it, especially as Kay Burley carried on after her show on Wednesday after Ginny was there as normal the previous day.

Just as I thought, how cruel and rude.

i think that she probably knew about it beforehand or maybe there was some other reason as to why she didn’t present that day. maybe i’m in a dream world as you put it lol, but I can’t imagine in this sort of case they would be THAT cruel and nasty.

my guess is she could have continued until when the new schedule starts on monday, but she probably didn’t want to. I mean, the sky report is getting the axe, but it’s still finishing the week. Likewise world news tonight.

i just don’t see any good reason for them to have been so cruel and ruthless and not letting her finish the week.
