I enjoy the buzz of a big breaking story.

BBC bulletins for many years. Foreign and general reporting before I became a political correspondent
What is your Best on-air moment?
Hard to recall, there have been so many. Recently the resignation of Charles Kennedy when I was broadcasting live was a dramatic event.
What is your Worst on-air moment?
I try to forget them
What would you like to do before your career ends?
Break a really huge exclusive
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Spend time with my family, walk the dog, play the piano, do yoga, ride horses, read.
What advice would you give to anyone that would like to get into the broadcasting world?
Be persistent, accept that your first job may be at a very local level and develop a specialism/languages.
