Martin Popplewell only ever seems to wear the same two or three ties.

I was thinking of posting a new one to the Sky News Centre and seeing if he wears it!

Maybe some other members here would do the same and we could see if he wears any of them!

P.S. There isn’t anything wrong with the few he wears but I think he should vary the wardrobe a bit!

Maybe he’s skint at present. I’m not sure how much Reporters earn at Sky, but at the BBC its less than 40k, still i’m sure he could streach to buying a few.

I also vote we buy Martin Popplewell a new pen to fiddle with when he’s reading the autocue.

The cheap plastic one he twiddles at the moment is just plastic. And cheap.

    Funny that.

“wearing the same two or three ties”

“fiddle with cheap plastic pen” ??

, you must be sitting infront TV 24/7 to notice something like that. It’s also disappointing that these unimportant things are all you notice about him.

I really don’t care if he’s wearing the same tie every day and fiddles with a chalk, he is an excellent reporter and presenter, with such enthusiasm and energy,…and that’s good enough for me!

No need to own a lot of ties if you’re living alone on an island as robinson crusoe did….

Actually no need to wear anything !
