Right now I am in the Pays Basque so am Sky-less, so any news of the one and only Mr Chater would be appreciated.
For first time visitors, the forum archives have a lot on the old DC forum, some of it good and some of it daft…
Innovation – ‘reporting the courts’ (that’s their re-enactment stuff)
News Event – ‘war in Iraq’
Specialist Journalism – Tim Marshall (waits for eagleeye to vent her spleen… )
And also there’s the News Channel of the Year award, which Sky have held for the past two years.
Full list of nominations is avaliable here;
Btw Omaar irritates me far more than Tim M ever could… At least Tim doesn’t have a celebrity agent etc etc after covering just one conflict. (what’s happened to that green puke emoticon?!)
I also have not seen him since his stint in Saudi Arabia covering the hajj although I don’t watch that much. Is he perhaps away?
A few Iraqi’s were holding up a sign saying go back you U.S wankers and DC started reading most of it, but didn’t finish.
I could really use a good laugh. It sounds great.
He did a package about Police numbers today. (not in vision)
Its a shame they didn’t send DC down to Haiti to cover the current affair in the country.
David always sounds out of place when he is covering a domestic story. its like Michael Wilson doing the sport.
Although Andrew Wilson seem to be enjoying himself in Haiti. Andrew has been covering domestic stories for about a year now.
I watched the report about Al Qaeda/Jordanians/Saudi/whichever fanatic suicide bombers killing over 100 people in Karbala and Baghdad on french TV news. I hope that Sky didn’t just “Fox” this one. David would be the right person to cover this Shia commemoration as not only is he a great reporter but has immense cultural sensitivity and respect for others’ beliefs.
On a happier note, I hope that if his birthday is soon that he will have a really good one to make up for last year’s one.
Sky did a live with a Sky Producer this morning and have been doing a live with a Fox correspondent during the rest of the day.
