Ive noticed that there are few Oriental newsreaders presenting on UK tv. Or on UK tv in general. It was good to see on BBC news at 1.30pm that there is an oriental looking newsreader by the name of i think it is spelt Alice Bhandhugraphy.

No information about her on the internet.

I would like to know where she originates from? Anyone know anything at all.?

The BBC London website has the following bio:

Alice Bhandhukravi regularly presents BBC London’s Breakfast and Lunchtime bulletins

Alice graduated from the University of Bristol. After a four-year flirtation with the world of international finance (care of the Spanish and Portuguese stock markets) she turned her back on long lunches and a Mediterranean climate to head to the London College of Communication to retrain as a broadcast journalist.

Alice has been at the BBC since 2006. She was born in Bangkok to a Thai father and British mother, and lives in West London with her husband.

She speaks French and Spanish fluently and loves to travel. In her spare time she likes to read, go to the cinema, cook and is on a life-long quest to find the capital’s best Thai restaurant.
