Mills

Sky News reporter Rhiannon Mills has been named the channel’s new Royal Correspondent.

She takes over from Paul Harrison, who stepped down from front line reporting last year to take up the role of Senior News Editor.

Rhiannon told her 2,800+ Twitter followers this morning: “New Year and a new job title for me. Be prepared for more tweets of a regal nature. I’m the new Royal Correspondent for Sky News”

Since joining Sky News in July 2010, she has covered some of the biggest breaking national and international stories.

As a London based reporter, Rhiannon broadcast live from Wapping during the News of the World phone hacking scandal, she covered the violent student demonstrations in 2010 and the snow closure of Heathrow airport.

Rhiannon previously worked as a correspondent and video journalist for ITV Anglia, regularly co-presenting the evening news programme “Anglia Tonight”.
