LONDON – Sky News has more upmarket viewers tuning in each day than any other pan-European news channel, according to the latest results of an industry survey released today (Monday 18 June).
The European Media Survey measures the media consumption of Europe’s most affluent individuals. Conducted by Interview-NSS, part of Synovate, it is the largest single-source survey of this important audience.
With a loyal daily audience in this group of almost 2m viewers, Sky News has the highest daily reach amongst news/business channels in the core EMS universe.
Sky News is also top in the “super-elite” EMS Select group, made up of individuals in the top 3% of households in Europe by socio-economic income. At 5% daily reach, the channel beats the nearest competitor CNN International, who have a figure of 4.5%.
