Couldn’t you just see it coming….

Right back to the time of all this “……it has to be in London” rubbish!, when the much better Brum option was treated with such derision by the M25 stockade Mafia.

typical FA bullshit, they say it will be ready even when the people who are actually building it say it might not be.there is a hell of a lot of work to be done in just 12 weeks

Can’t blame the football association, it’s the government that are at fault, they should had made the money available quicker.

It is the FA’s fault and the Government has nothing to do with the funding of the stadium,it was down to the FA to raise the cash. Then they chose to use the most expensive building company on planet earth to build it,800m quid for one stadium compared to 400m quid spent by the Portuguese on building 6 new stadiums for the Euro champs and 500m spent by Japan for the last world cup for 6 stadiums,as i say, trust the FA to arse it up

Yes they do, you need to roll back in time.

There was enough stalling from Tessa Jowel on monies needed to start the project.

There are alos other financial backers such as lottery and the London development agency.

The whole reason why the rebuilding was delayed was because the Government refused to pay for it because it was a football only stadium, the Government were going to pay towards it if it was to have a running track and could be used in a London bid for the Olympics, the FA said they wanted a football only stadium so the Government told them to pay for it.

Off to the bookies today to collect my winnings on the bet that was placed the day the project was stolen from Brum – short odds, even then!

“London provides but 21% of the national population, but never less than 83% of the national bullshit” – Anon.
