Have just seen Allan King presenting a piece to camera about the problems in Gaza.

He was superimposed onto a background - perhaps in a seperate studio.

These pieces are usually done on the stage infront of the video wall. Is this pasrt of the relaunch? A rehearsal? I got the impression that it was pre-recorded.

Any ideas?

Probably done infront of the green screen used for the weather (cam 5). Could possibly have been a pre-record during an ad break.

They use the green screen quite often for that kind of thing, just to mix thinks up I assume. Also probably easier than trekking acrosss the newsroom, lighting up the newswall etc.

I don't think they use the wall in the evening.

It just looked really odd. Something I have never noticed before. Perhaps it was just a poorly edited link that made it stick out.
