the Brazier was just mentioning James Bond (again) this can only mean one thing - He completely disagrees with the casting of Danial Craig and thinks that he would have been a much better choice ("the names Brazier, Colin Brazier and I've got a licence to read the news")

Colin Brazier is OK at his job, but it's good to see Martin Popplewell in his place this morning. Although he is younger, he must have more experience at studio presenting than Colin, who was, I think, a "roving reporter" until his recent change of direction. Martin, on the other hand, was presenting single-handed bulletins on Channel 5 quite a few years ago.....and it shows! He obviously enjoyed the parrot story this morning.

I hope that Colin's high exposure in the new schedule does not mean a side-lining of stalwarts like Steve Dixon, Mark Longhurst and Chris Roberts. It's beginning to look that way. Does someone at the top see Colin as the new Martin Stanford? He's quite adequate, but Martin is in a class of his own. (Though here again, Martin P makes a good backup on the evening programme when MS is off.)

I think Colin is perhaps a bit more of a "team player" he seems to get on better with co-presenters, compared to Martin [Popplewell] who at times [from what I've noticed anyway] seems almost afraid of them, and presenters better on his own.

Hence deputising rather well for Martin Stanfords show.

Anyhow....Popplewell is now back for SNT PM [how tall is he, anyone have any ideas only he looks taller than Chris Roberts which is a feat !]
