Sky News has announced the appointment of new Middle East and Asia correspondents.



Dominic Waghorn moves from Beijing to Jerusalem to replace Emma Hurd as Sky News? Middle East Correspondent. Peter Sharp replaces Dominic as Asia Correspondent.



and Stuart Ramsay returns to Sky News as Chief Correspondent.

I like that set-up. Great moves as I think Stuart Ramsay is extremely good and was wasted on Five.

It look like Ian was getting the Mid-East Job. I wonder if he'll head back to the U.S. now? we do have mid-term elections on November 7th in the U.S, not sure if they're covered by U.K news, i guess not..



Mike McCarthy is currently in Washington. I wonder what happened to Michelle Clifford, she only done about a week as U.S. Correspondent - Haven't seen her since.

I imagine they will be Johnnie. The midterms could prove quite significant if the Republicans lose control of Congress. I imagine that Sky will be doing some special coverage - Ian Woods may return, but it was my understanding that he wanted to return to the UK, so will probably only be on a temporary basis.

I also like Mike McCarthy in America. It all seems to fit with Ian Woods wishing to stay in the UK.
