Emergency services say there are "numerous" injuries in the Cumbria train derailment. The train was the 17:15 Virgin service from Euston to Glasgow Central via Kendal.North West ambulance service says all the carriages have been derailed and the second compartment has slipped down an embankment. It says 180 people on board only 48 had been accounted for and many were still trapped inside.

BBC News had trapped passengers live on air, and went to continuous coverage, whilst Sky were still show old reports on News, Sport & Weather. Sky got first Live Pictures at around 11:20pm
