There was a live interview with them from the back-stage area of the Point Depot. Tonights their first show of 10 there. That's a lot of shows!

Jerome Hughes did the interview. All four were there. Grainne mentioned he was in a place where a great many young girls and women would like to be. Jealous? I doubt it.

Did you notice at the end of the SNI 7pm bulletin Grainne said"after the break sky news from Dublin"

She should,of course,of said from London

But,we all make mistakes!

Well at the end of tonight's bulliten she said the "next the news from London" bit. As she said London she sort of pointed at the screen. I wonder if she read your comments Newsroom, and was responding directly to you?

After the first week, my general opinion is that the bulliten is good, with plenty of improvements to be made.

On the whole I think that the second bulliten (10pm) is far better. It has about 3/4 extra minutes. They seem to make good use of those extra minutes. On Friday evening they had a special feature about missing persons. There was a report from Gary Honeyford in Belfast and Jonathan Healy in Dublin. They also carried a report from David Blevins about the Holy Cross School in Belfast, seeing some of those pictures even now, still shocks me.

I get the impression that Grainne is settling in much better. She's beginning to look more relaxed; less of the 'shouting' the stories out.

Yes well the "shouting" as you put it(which is an exageration);is as would be expected for a newscaster on the first few days of a new service bulletin like SNI!

Do we really have to do this everytime Newsroom?

When I said shouting it was in inverted commas. I know she wasn't actually shouting, however she was not talking normally!!!

And I didn't realise that it was common knowledge that when a 24 news broadcaster launches a bulliten for a different country you would expect the presenter to alter their presentation style.
