Yes I think there should be some differentiation with SNUK's programming.

Sky News Australia have different names:

6-8:30am

SKY NEWS FIRST EDITION

12-1pm,3-4pm,9-10pm

SKY NEWSHOUR

5-6pm -

FIVE LIVE

6:30-8:30pm -

SKY EVENING NEWS

Surely BskyB could just put the word SUNRISE, TODAY and LIVE AT FIVE under the sky/news titles.

These were what they had up until March. The text has since changed with the new look.

I would not mind simply "SKY NEWS-LIVE AT FIVE" OR "SKY NEWS OVERNIGHT"

bUT DIFFERnt sets for different things...no way(a soft set for sunrise im totally against)--If we want soft sets we go to GMTV

Perhaps 2 or 3 different sets, but all in a similar style would work for a bigger organisation like BBC News, but maybe not Sky news.

As for sofas, the BBC have had sofa areas, in 1986, then again in 1997, and in 2000. It gives more flexability, for discussion and interviews

It would be a good idea to become branded, like 1998's Sky News.

Yeah we all want a genuine bona-fide News at 10, with different lightening and music just like in the old days. At present there isn't any branding apart from Today, Adam Bolton and Littlejohn. Live at Five goes through periods of being distinguishable on good days, then just looks identical to 1-5 on others.

Put the "sun" back into "sunrise" lets see seem nice gold rays back.
