Who is Alistair Bruce? Sky trot him out for those big occasions - like the D-Day anniversary - and I wonder what authority he has for this sort of event.

I seem to remember he was on "the other side" at Prince Edward's marriage, as one of the ushers. I'm not sure why he did expert ceremonial stuff on Reagan's funeral, though. Couldn't Sky find any suitably qualified Americans?

I doubt it!

Just because his surname is Bruce, it's a little naive to claim he is a descendent.

Does he think we are all wallies, or something??!

He doesn't sound very Scottish to me. Maybe he was also bitten by a spider?
