Cheers mate..I can't wait - sounds interesting. Will the revamp take place this autumn - or will it be next year?

Fox News is abysmal and should never be replicated or cloned on any UK news channel, or any other channel for that matter. In fact I wish Fox was removed from the Sky epg and replaced with NBC or ABC news.

I think the changes on Sky News is for the better, and will impress mostly everyone, except those incapable of coping with change.

Well..you can put money on some folk not being happy. I hope that they give ITV News a run for their money with their 'theatre of news'.

I'm not the biggest fan of the presenters now that John Suchet (the legend) has left..but their studio is fab!!

Wonder if there will be 'CNN Headline News' style news bulletins - between unique specialist programmes??

There may be a programme like Panorama or Reporters were Jeremy Thompson, Michelle Clifford, Richard Bestic, Emma Hurd, Dominic Waghorn and Andrew Wilson will report in-depth??

Juliette Foster may host a Financial Report show..she is the ONLY person who makes the FTSE seem fascinating!!

Lisa Aziz and Anna Botting are good interviewers, and don't take any crap!! If they want a Newsnight style show..get Anne MacKenzie from BBC Scotland in the fold, she makes Paxman look like a pussy cat!!

There is a magnitude of possibilties...

You like the ITV news set? I think it is one of the worst sets I have seen ever, ever, ever ever!

I do..compared to other UK sets..but that is my opinion.

The main thing to judge is news content..that's what I'll be looking at when the revamp happens!!

I've never been able to get into this sets & graphics thingy, but hey! horse for courses. I'm more interested in how the news is delivered and if it's delivered by a handsome/pretty face all the better. Just please don't turn it into a comfy sofa magazine show style set.

The one thing that itv have that sky does not, is, Angela Rippon. I think it's about time sky done some serious negotiating.

There is not one person i can think of, off the top of my head that would make the ftse sound interesting. The business report goes right over my head or is it, in one ear and out the other or both.

The idea of having little shows like fox news is good,

Yeah! To show you how it shouden't be done.

Angela Rippon, at 60 I don't think she would be a good deal for Sky.

Fox News is utter garbage, its far from fair or balanced, or interesting.

Immitating this dull confrontational chat format will be a disaster for Sky News, if you listen to the output while looking in the opposite direction it sounds like a radio talk programme, which is exactly what it should be.

Viewers will go elsewhere for their news, say goodbye to news channel of the year awards because there wont be one next year.

oh behave yourself!

Yes, Fox is nausiating - I agree with your point there, and I'm sure the people at Sky would too.

For a start, Sky wouldn't be able to be anything but impartial - there's guidelines on Impartiality which can be found in Section 3 of the Ofcom Programme Code.

Sky are only talking about going back to how they used to be pre-2001 - i.e. programmes on the half hour e.g. Your Call, Technofile, Book Review, with the addition of presenter led programming - eg Jeremy Thompson Tonight or whatever.

I can't see what you're getting so het up about really. It's a development that many of us have been wanting for a while.
