So what ideas to people have for the new studios? Obviously we don't want a massive fake studio like ITV, but does anyone have any particular thoughts?

Well as they are moving into a new building, they cant keep the same studio. It will be bigger, and there is space for more than one set, so we may see the return of the soft set, as well as the five news set.

They may take the opertunity to change the logo, and their whole blue and red theme, but its hard to imaging a new look and logo, the current branding seems etched on my mind.

Nope no virtual studio for the newsroom.

There WILL be a second virtual studio purpose built for.........other stuff.

I dont suppose you could drop any hints on colour schemes, and other minor design points. I understand you cant talk about any new presentation formats, incase ITV and BBC steal the ideas (again!).

there are at least 3 different presentation positions around the newsroom.

I heard there will be a lot of walking and pointing.

prays for the studio *not* to look like ITV's fake-o-rama studio

Too early all current plans assume current logos and colours.
