Looks like Tony is taking part in two, one hour live shows on Sky News, this Wednesday. One by police and one by hospital staff.

Whoever dubbed it "Blair Day" needs to be shot.

Clearly SKY are copying Five News who've had Blair, Kennedy, and Howard for a whole day in the last month or so.

How can Sky News be copying Five News, when technically they are now the same thing?

If you didn't know, Sky News provides Five News.

Sky News and Five aren't the same thing. Five is a client of Sky News and has its own content which is aided by Sky facilities.

ITV News could have copied Five News when it was under the roof of grey's inn road.... doesn't mean it's not a copycat move.

Adam Boulton will present the first one, Julie the second.

Sky & Five are a closer knit partnership than Five and ITN/ITV ever were. And when Five did the Blair Day/Howard Day etc earlier this year, they were under the roof of the new sky centre - not grey's inn road - so ITV couldn't really have copied unless they arranged their own interviews.

Sky's Blair Day was probably arranged at the same time that Five's Blair Day was.

I think I might know the difference as I work for FIVE and I am employed by BSKYB. Five had the idea first. The election team for Sky News sitting 40 ft away from me negotiated this at a later date.

Yes isn't it odd for Sky News in the run up to the run up to a potential election decide to do all this politcal stuff just like five regardless of their relationships. Most perculiar. The BBC might do something next. Who will they be copying?
