Sky Sports have sacked Matt Le Tissier, Charlie Nicholas and Phil Thompson from their Soccer Saturday show, according to the Daily Mirror.
Le Tissier confirmed his departure by Tweeting: “Enjoyed my time at sky sports, time to look forward to life’s next challenge, thank you for the support down the years and special thanks to the backroom team which include @CazzaEccles @CarlyBassett @tvtrevstats amongst many others, good luck all have a lovely day.”
The trio have racked up over 50 years of service between them.
It is not yet known who will replace them on Soccer Saturday, but Paul Merson will remain on the show.
Soccer Saturday returns to Sky Sports on Saturday 12th September 2020.
