ITV will broadcast the World Cup 2018 third place play-off between Belgium and England at Saint Petersburg Stadium this afternoon.
Neither team will be particularly happy with their participation in this fixture, having come so close to playing in the sport’s showpiece occasion, but they will still want to sign off with a victory.
Belgium were edged out by France in the opening semi-final, with Samuel Umtiti’s second-half header proving the difference for Didier Deschamps’ men.
England went ahead in their match with Croatia on Wednesday thanks to Kieran Trippier’s early free-kick, but Ivan Perisic equalised in the second half before Mario Mandzukic fired home the winner in extra time.
These sides have already played each other in this tournament, with both managers resting key players in what was something of a dead rubber.
Former Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj scored the winner for the Red Devils on that occasion in Kaliningrad.
The match will also be streamed live via the ITV Hub.
Highlights will be shown on BBC One from 10.20pm, while a full-match replay will air on the same channel at 11:50pm.
